I strongly hold the Biblical view that, the value of a man's life does not consist of the abundance of things he possesses, but rather the source of life (I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me; Galatians 2:20) and other lives he has influenced positively.

“Greatness is not determined by one's status, the number of grandchildren or great grandchildren he or she has, or by an acquired wealth, but greatness is determined when a man has lived his life serving others” (Raising Heroes volume 3). Rev. Dr Bernard Mensa Adams has been a passionate follower and disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ since 1981. He is the Founder of the International Palace Church(I.P.C) and the Senior Pastor of the Headquarters branch – The Palace, and the President of Bernard Mensa Adams Ministries(BMA) He is a strong Teacher of the Word and a seasoned Conference Speaker coupled with the manifestation of the gifts of the spirit. He has 13 books to his credit as an author. He believes that “No one is a failure until that person chooses to fail because, God is capable of raising Heroes out of zeroes”.

“I had a serious headache for years. As a minstrel, i would mount the stage and whenever i would hold a microphone, i would begin to experience severe headache.I arranged with My Doctor brother to see a specialist. Right when that thought crossed my mind, the spirit of God led me to see My Pastor Dr Adams who said a prayer with me.That night , whilst sleeping, in the middle of the night , i experienced something i have never felt before. Water poured out from my mouth , nostril ears and literally wet my bed. This is the first i had ever experienced such. To the Glory of Gods name, since that night, i have not experienced such headaches ever again. I praise God for such a great miracle done me.”

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all, Ecclesiastes 9:11.

One thing is common in the above verse of scripture with all men. Both rich and poor, great or small are given time and opportunities.

The difference is the individual's respect for time and the ability to prepare, identify and seize an opportunity to his benefit. This is what separates the rich from the poor, and great from the small.
